Director John Zalman

John Zalman is currently in his sixth year as Director of Bands at Tascosa High School.  A graduate of Texas Tech University, Mr. Zalman has been involved in music education in Texas for eighteen years.  Prior to coming to Amarillo, Mr. Zalman taught in the Monahans, Slaton, Georgetown, and Lockney school districts.  Bands under his direction have received numerous superior ratings in UIL competition.  Professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, and the Texas Music Adjudicators Association.  Mr. Zalman resides in Amarillo with his wife,  Robyn, and their four children:  Bethany, JJ, Michael, and Nathanael.
