Born in Amarillo – attended Hamlet Elementary, Horace Mann Junior High, graduated from Palo Duro in 1973.
Attended Amarillo College, graduated from WTSU in 1977 with Bachelor’s degree in Organ performance with a Piano minor.
Taught private piano/organ lessons for several years as well as playing the organ.
Returned to WT – received Certification in All-Level Choral Music in December 1987.
Taught in Borger and Tulia before AISD
Currently the Organist at St. Stephen United Methodist Church.
Married to Danny Stone. We have 4 grown children and 3 grandchildren. Danny works in Maintenance for Canyon ISD

Shevon was born in Shamrock, Texas and graduated from high school in 1977. Shevon is married to John Moya and they have two children, a son Trevor and daughter Noelle who both graduated from San Jacinto Christian Academy. Trevor is a senior sports marketing major at Texas Tech University and Noelle is a freshman elementary PE major attending Amarillo College. Shevon attended West Texas A&M University and received her Bachelor’s in Music Education. While attending school, Shevon worked for Amarillo Opera three years and was the Coordinator for the education program ARTS: An Alternative Shevon taught music two years at San Jacinto Christian Academy and 5 years at Lee Elementary for AISD. Shevon was Lee’s Elementary Teacher of the year and Amarillo South Rotary’s Exemplary Teacher of the year for 2005-2006. Shevon is a member of the PBS team at Lee and TMEA. Shevon’s hobbies are attending Texas Tech football, gardening, and singing with the Paramount Baptist Church choir and praise team.

Personal: Mrs. Lancaster has taught music at Wills for 13 years. She and her husband, Bill, have 2 sons. Richard is a medic in the US Army and Brian is a exercise science major at Harding University. Interesting fact you might not know – She has lived in 10 different states!
Education: Mrs. Lancaster is Kodaly certified and received her BS/Music Ed. from Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, MO. She has also done graduate work at the University of TN-Chattanooga, Seattle Pacific University and WTAMU.
Honors: Mrs. Lancaster was chosen as one of 200 teachers from the United States as a Fulbright Memorial Scholar to Japan where she spent 3 weeks studying Japanese schools and culture. She has also presented at district workshops, hosts a monthly elementary music teachers' collaboration group, has been a Texas featured clinician at TMEA and will present a workshop at TCDA this summer in San Antonio.
South Lawn Elementary: Pat Turman
Pat was born in Atlanta, Georgia but spent most of his childhood in Colorado. He graduated from La Veta High School, Colorado in 1982 and spent most of the next eight years playing classic rock and country music in bands throughout the mid-western states. In 1990 Pat attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley as a music education major. He graduated in 1995 and was hired as an elementary music teacher in 1996 at Alice Landergin Elementary. In the fall of 1999, Pat transferred to South Lawn Elementary and has taught there ever since. Pat enjoys playing music, reading, writing, and watching old movies in his spare time.
