Visual Art

Amarillo ISD offers a visual art program that promotes academic knowledge, intellectual development, skill acquisition, visual awareness, and imaginative self-expression.   Visual art classes begin in middle school and continue through high school with advanced courses in drawing, painting, computer graphics/animation, ceramic, jewelry, and AP or IB studio art.  AISD art students participate in area and state competitions including TAEA Visual Arts Scholastic Event and the Texas Panhandle Invitational Student Art Show.
