AISD BSA Hospital Plan

Amarillo Independent School District currently offers a PPO plan. This plan allows employees to use the Baptist Saint Anthony Hospital (BSA) with the OMNI Network.

Amarillo Independent School District currently offers a EPO plan. This plan allows employees to use the North West Texas Hospital (NWTH) with the Alliance EPO Network.

Dental Reimbursement Program
AISD Dental Reimbursement Program; No cards needed to access the plan benefits. Employee pays provider at time of service, submits Reimbursement Claim Form with documentation of procedures and proof of payment to Benefits office within 90 days of payment to the provider. Plan reimburses 80% of first $250.00 of paid expenses and 50% of next $1600.00 of paid expenses to a total reimbursement of $1000.00 per covered individual per plan year. Plan year is July 1 – June 30. Reimbursement is by direct deposit or check. You may access claim forms & Dental plan specifications in the above Dental drop down box.
Eligible providers: Any dentist licensed by the state in which they practice.

VSP Vision Insurance
Customer Service: 800.877.7195

There are no cards needed to access this plan.  You will need to make an appointment with an In-Network Provider and tell them you are a VSP member. You will need to give them your EMPLOYEE ID # for them to access your benefits. For example if your employee ID # is 1234 you will need to add 5 zeros in front to make a 9-digit #, 000001234. Your provider will then be able to verify your benefits online through the VSP system.

Teacher Retirement System
The Teacher Retirement System will start monitoring annuity and investment companies who wish to sell qualified investments in 403b programs to state school employees (June 2002). The Teacher Retirement System will also monitor the new school employee health insurance.
